Going Home

This painting was done in the 1950's on Uncle Ike's ranch in Glorietta, New Mexico. With our four children, we spent time there every summer helping with the ranch, the chickens, and the alfalfa harvest. The landscape between California and the ranch itself; the hot, expansive land and sky, were always inspirational.
